Indonesian news API for AI agents
Google News Indonesia, cleaned and enriched server-side: outlet names normalised, duplicate titles removed, entities extracted and every article scored with a deterministic Indonesian sentiment lexicon. Sold per call over x402 — no account, no subscription, no API key. Calling agents discover the price from the 402 response itself.
What one call returns
Every paid endpoint returns JSON. A paid request is answered first with HTTP 402 carrying the x402 PaymentRequired payload (accepts[] with network, atomic USDC amount, asset and payTo); the client pays and retries the same URL with a payment header.
- GET /headlines?topic=finance — up to 25 headlines for one beat ($0.05)
- GET /feed?topic=finance&since=<cursor> — only articles newer than the cursor, each with stable id, entities and sentiment, plus the next cursor ($0.05)
- GET /sentiment?topic=finance — one auditable 0-100 index per beat: label, risk-on/risk-off mood, driver terms, entity bias and the strongest headlines on each side ($0.05)
- GET /search?q=suku+bunga — up to 25 keyword matches; add &since=<cursor> to poll for new matches only ($0.10)
- GET /briefing?topic=finance — deduplicated, recency-ranked briefing with keyword trends and top sources ($0.50)
- GET /monitor?q=pertamina — brand coverage: article and outlet counts, keyword trends, 7-period timeline ($1.00)
- GET /digest — all eight beats in one call, deduplicated across topics ($2.50)
- GET /fx?to=IDR — reference rate for any currency pair, USD/IDR by default, plus a daily series and change % ($0.05)
- GET /crypto?symbols=btc,eth,usdt — crypto prices in rupiah from Indodax ($0.05)
- GET /premium?symbols=btc,eth,usdt — Indonesia crypto premium: Indodax rupiah vs global USD × USD/IDR ($0.05)
- GET /quake?limit=5 — latest official BMKG earthquakes, tsunami potential ($0.05)
- GET /holidays?year=2026&upcoming=true — Indonesian public holidays ($0.05)
- GET /preview?topic=finance — free 3-headline sample, no payment
MCP server, including paid tools
The same data is served over MCP at https://indo-news-api.vercel.app/mcp (streamable HTTP). Five tools are free: a 3-headline preview, a new-since sample, today's top entities with a sentiment split, the endpoint catalog and a coverage-report quote. Six tools are paid and settle inside the tool call with x402: indonesia_headlines ($0.05), indonesia_feed ($0.05), indonesia_search ($0.10), indonesia_sentiment ($0.05), indonesia_briefing ($0.50), indonesia_digest ($2.50), indonesia_fx ($0.05), indonesia_crypto_idr ($0.05), indonesia_crypto_premium ($0.05), indonesia_earthquake ($0.05), indonesia_holidays ($0.05), indonesia_snapshot ($0.05).
Call a paid tool without payment and the result is an x402 PaymentRequired payload; pay and repeat the call with the payment in params._meta["x402/payment"].
Why agents buy instead of scraping
Scraping Google News means owning RSS parsing, outlet normalisation, title deduplication and caching, then building your own entity and sentiment extraction. This service already does all of it, returns a stable schema, and lets a polling agent pay only when it actually asks. Everything is stateless: the cursor in /feed and /search responses is the only state an agent needs.
Payment in practice
x402 v2, scheme exact, USDC on Base (eip155:8453), Polygon (eip155:137), Arbitrum (eip155:42161) or Avalanche (eip155:43114), the same payTo address on every network. Any x402 client works: point it at the URL, it reads the 402, pays, and retries. Machine-readable manifest: /.well-known/x402. Full docs for agents: /llms.txt.
Pertanyaan umum
Is there a free tier?
Yes. /preview returns three headlines with no payment, and the MCP server has five free tools. Paid calls start at $0.05 in USDC.
Do I need an account or API key?
No. There is no signup, no key, and no subscription. Payment is the credential: the x402 payment header is checked on every call.
How fresh is the data?
The source is Google News Indonesia and responses are cached for at most five minutes, so data is near-real-time without hammering the upstream feed.
Which topics are covered?
Eight beats: nasional, dunia, finance, techno, sport, hiburan, sains and kesehatan. Keyword search and brand monitors are not limited to the beats.
Can I get a written report?
Yes: a 30-day written coverage report for one brand, person or issue costs $49 and is delivered immediately after an on-chain USDC payment, with no email involved. Free sample: /demo-report.
